Courtney Brennan

Head Trainer, Barn Manager

Courtney began her riding career at age 6. Since then, she has enjoyed a successful career as a junior rider. After years of riding and showing, Courtney decided to pursue her passion as a career in the hunter jumper industry. In order to educate herself and gain solidity as an equine professional, she enrolled in the University of Findlay's nationally recognized equestrian studies program. During her time there, Courtney gained valuable experience in the medical and biological sphere of horsemanship and the opportunity to show on Findlay's nationally recognized equestrian team.

After earning her Degree at Findlay, Courtney moved on to gain practical experience in the field. During that time, she had an opportunity to go to clinics and to meet different industry professionals and experience their programs. This gave Courtney the ability to formulate her own training and instruction program based on the successes she saw in various programs.

Today Courtney prides herself on providing a show stable with an open and friendly atmosphere based on a strong foundation in good horsemanship and training. Using these ideals, Courtney provides lessons to students ages 6 and up. Whether the student is a 6 year old riding for the first time, a 50 year old returning to sport or a junior rider with an already strong career, Courtney has the experience and expertise to provide the optimum instruction for any situation.

Besides instruction, Courtney also enjoys training horses in all stages of their education. Courtney has brought numerous horses from breaking, to flatwork, to jumping to showing. Using her horsemanship skills gained over the years, Courtney likes to assess each horse as an individual and then develop a program that will help the horse to meet its training goals. She uses this theory whether it be the first 30 days under saddle or schooling a veteran horse for the show ring. Courtney also actively competes in the hunter jumper show arena and has the ability to take a horse from the schooling ring to the show ring.

Not one to stay stagnant, Courtney continues to take lessons and clinic with accomplished industry leaders and is continuously looking to improve herself so that she can pass that knowledge on to her clients.
